What You’ll Find Here

Enchant Me Not offers many things. First and foremost, it is a blog for me to communicate with the rest of the world, tell you my innermost thoughts, dreams, and desires! Tell you my deepest secrets, my strangest fantasies, and my most alluring tales. Ok, so it might not be all that, but it is a place that I can freely write about my life

This site used to have a photoblog, which I have now moved to another domain: www.picturemenot.com. I had a “tech” blog on here, which I have moved to www.scuttlebutt.me. Finally, I used to share my writing and poems on here, but decided not to add them up. At least not now.

Now for the more web-help side of the site. This website provides tutorials and guides on wordpress, general HTML and photoshop. It also provides graphics and resources that you can use on your own websites. These are either found under Web Help or Goodies.

I try to hold contests once a month, as they’re fun, and a great way to showcase your talents for other people to see. If you’d like to take part in a contest, or look at what I’ve planned in the past, then take a look at the contests page. I generally like to make them a little more “interesting”, rather than the conventional method where you have to make an icon using this specific picture.

The Network page is where you can learn about all my other sites, what they have to offer, etc. You’ll see my photoblog, my hosting site, and a lot more!

The Other page is, quite literally, a place for “other” things to go. You’ll see some very interesting things appearing up there soon!

About: Enchant Me Not

The name Enchant Me Not was created during a period of inspiration-block. I turned to my ipod to play random songs, and see if the song title gave me inspiration for the site’s title. The song “So Close” by Jon McLaughlin popped up, a really nice song from the movie Enchanted. I loved the movie when it came out, and started playing around with the words “Close” and “Enchanted”. I eventually ended up making “Enchant Me Not”, and fell in love with it.

About: Stan

As for the awesome plushie robot that you’ll see on (hopefully) every page of Enchant Me Not, he’s name is Stan. I got a teddy bear version of him a few years ago from a friend, and was looking for inspiration for a site “mascot”. I thought he would be a perfect mascot, and so added him up.

So how did I come up with the name Stan? It was during my “Stan” phase, where all I could think about was Stan. Before I go on, I should tell you that I like to name things with names, and so my Stan phase was me pretty much naming everything “Stan” – not in a creepy way or anything… I think it was inspired by Eminem’s song, Stan, though there’s no relationship between the meaning of his song, and why I use Stan.

Anyway, since the name Stan means so much to me (seriously, I have no idea why, I just REALLY like the name…) and since I think the plush robot is so cute and awesome, I decided to call him Stan, and make him honorary symbol of our site! If you see Stan’s captive smile creeping onto your site, then you know it’s me saying hello.
